Time Managment - 9 Top Tips
One of the biggest challenges that we all face at work is how to make the most of our time!
Here are our 9 Top Tips.
1. At the start of each day (or at the end of the previous one) write a list of what you want to do that day, prioritise
it, and do things in prority order. Then, however many of the things you've done, at the end of the day you know
you've done your best!
2. To do this, consider the deadline of each and which are urgent, important, both, or neither
3. Tick them off when you complete them. (Very satisfying!)
4. Arrange your day so that you do the bigger creative jobs when you are at your best, probably at the start of the
day. (Ask me about rocks, pebbles, and sand!)
5. ... and "eat the frogs" first (get out of the way the jobs you keep putting off)
6. Seek to set this pattern for your whole office, so interruptions are minimised
7. Be ruthless with people who interrupt you during this time - if it will take more than a couple of minutes to help
them, schedule a future time for the work
8. Make sure you schedule time each week to do the "important but non-urgent" strategic tasks and to prepare for
meetings and other events
9. Don't just schedule the time in your diary for meetings, but also for that afterwards to write up notes and do the
tasks that you have agreed to
