Why coaching from Finding True North?

We coach individuals and teams in businesses and voluntary organisations. This may be support for people in demanding roles, or taking on new responsibility for example as a director. Team coaching includes facilitation work to support teams in achieving their goals, and may be at board level or with task-based teams. Coaching can bring extraordinary results. It is forward-looking, appreciative, and action-focused. Through each session and series of sessions, the coach works to your agenda bringing you fresh insights and helping you to choose new actions to reach desired goals—your True North. Your agenda becomes our agenda.

We do this through transformative listening and powerful questions. Coaches do not major on giving advice. A skilled practitioner from outside your organisation brings confidentiality as well as greater objectivity.

To encourage best use of talent, to help teams to work together, and to achieve organisational goals, we help people to understand themselves and their motivated abilities. That way the choices that you make build on your strengths to maximise your effectiveness. Approaches we may use include SIMA® and Insights Discovery.

The approach we use is also valuable for individuals leaving organisations, e.g. redundancy and outplacement.

We also provide coaching training, for example to managers and management teams seeking to use a coaching approach with their staff or to support one another.
